Where it all began

How it started
It began at a kitchen table, with a notebook full of sketches and far more questions than answers. We had been searching for something that was made with care, built to last and honest about where it came from, and we kept coming up empty. So one evening, over yet another cup of tea, we decided to stop searching and start making it ourselves. Those first attempts were far from perfect. There were late nights, wasted materials, and more than a few ideas that never left the page. But every mistake taught us something, and slowly the sketches turned into samples, and the samples turned into something we were proud to share. The first pieces went to friends and family, then to friends of friends, and before long people we had never met were asking for them too. That small table is where everything we do today first took shape, and we still come back to the same idea that started it all: make fewer things, and make them well.
How we make it
We work in small batches, with materials we choose ourselves and people we know by name. Every step, from the first cut to the final stitch or finish, is done with attention rather than speed. Nothing leaves us until it has been checked by hand, and if it isn't right, we start again. Working this way takes longer and costs more, but it means we can stand behind every single piece we send out. It also means we know exactly where our materials come from and who helped turn them into something new. We believe the things you use every day should be made to be used, repaired and kept, not replaced after a season. That belief shapes every decision we make, from the suppliers we work with to the packaging we send your order in.
Where we're going
We're still a small team, and we like it that way. We're still learning, still experimenting with new ideas, and still answering every message ourselves. Growing has never meant cutting corners for us. It means finding better materials, building stronger relationships with the people we work with, and making each new collection a little better than the last. None of this would be possible without the people who chose to support us along the way, whether that meant placing a first order, telling a friend, or sending a kind note after a parcel arrived.
